As this was a pretty busy offseason, going to use Friday as a day to catch up on all the transactions that have happened over the course of the week, highlighting the more important ones.
I know the offseason is nearly over, however, this will be something to take with the blog in the future.
For all the 2009 NBA Transactions click here:
Monday – Nothing earth shattering on Monday, but longtime Washington Wizard, Etan Thomas, was acquired by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Tuesday – The biggest news of the day was the Bobcats and Hornets swapping of centers. Emeka Okafor formerly of the [...]

NBA Transaction Friday
10) Golden State giving up Marco Belinelli for Devean George – Belinelli wasn’t going to get many minutes under Nellie, but the Warriors just gave him to Toronto for roster filler.
9) Joe Dumars signing Chris Wilcox – Does Dumars really think Wilcox is a starting center? If so, what is his opinion based on? If not, will Kwame Brown be starting for the Pistons?
8) Oklahoma City (or another team) not making an offer to David Lee – Why haven’t any teams signed Lee to a 4-year $25-28 million offer sheet to put a little pressure on the Knicks to match? The Thunder would seem to [...]

What do I think? Right now I’m tempted to cast my vote for the guy in the above picture…

Here’s some news that Jason Williams (white version) is trying to make a comeback after spending last season in retirement.
Williams is expected to workout with one of his former teams, the Grizzlies. This is interesting considering the Grizzlies just signed another Williams to be a point guard, Marcus. Could there be a battle of the Williams’ for Memphis’ backup slot??
The Knicks have also shown some interest in JWill. Imagining the point guard once known as “White Chocolate” in the free wheeling Knicks system is just too good to be true, so let’s just reserve that fantasy for if and when it actually [...]
One Game To Win
A new semi-regular post that is going to be up every Wednesday called – “One Game To Win”.
Here’s the first one.
You’re an NBA GM and have to try and win one game. You can select any current NBA point guard to run your team.
Who do you choose?
I apologize for not filing an Uncontested Shots this past Friday but there really wasn’t much to write about. Lamar Odom is still unsigned, Ramon Sessions, David Lee, Nate Robinson, and Glen Davis have received no love on the open market yet and the Mavs have added Drew Gooden and Tim Thomas.
On to today’s Uncontested Shots, or should I say, “Things I was thinking about while watching the Grizzlies Hamed Haddadi go nuts on some poor Lebanese dude at the Jones Cup.”

Maybe that’s a little harsh. But Monday’s Emeka Okafor-for-Tyson Chandler trade is a classic [...]
There are lots of ways NBA veterans can spend their offseasons in prepartion for the upcoming season. If they’re longtime veterans, you would assume those players would take time off, let their body heal up..maybe spend time with their families.
Shaquille O’neal, recently aquired by the Cleveland Cavaliers, the supposed shining knight to LeBron’s title hopes has been spending his offseason a little differently. Last night on WWE’s flagship show, Raw, Shaq appeared and even got in the ring and mixed it up a little with WWE’s The Big Show.
Since it happened and since we have some other instances of this [...]
The Portland Trail Blazers addressed one of their biggest needs with the signing of free agent point guard Andre Miller. At the same time, the signing now gives the Blazers one of the most formidable backcourts in the league, with Miller joining All-Star shooting guard Brandon Roy.
But where does that backcourt rank among the league? That is the question I’m going to attempt to answer here today. I’ll first spotlight a few of the backcourts in the league that I believe are the best, I’ll then rank them at the end of the post.

1) Where do you think Stephon Marbury will be playing next season?
Odds are that he’ll play for the Celtics or a European team. However, I have heard rumors that the Wizards might be interested. Forward Antawn Jamison was very pleased about the possibility of adding Starbury and had this to say:
”I’ve known Steph since high school, and the things that he’s accomplished as [...]
