I think the smart money is on Wallace spending that cap space on Andre3000 based on his performance in "Semi-Pro". Though that would probably rank as one of his better moves. If he hadn't lucked out with Marc Gasol's inclusion in the Pau trade, he would be challenging Elgin Baylor for poorest decision maker ever(speaking of which, Torre chooses to pitch to Pujols last night? I can still taste the puke in my mouth). I'm starting to agree with you about Simmons however. I wonder if non Laker fans are starting to notice how little credibility he has whenever he comments on the Lakers? Also loved the Clipper's ideas he had beyond the cap numbers, and the possibility of James arrival. The "Hollywood Knights" jerseys would potentially be the coolest sports jersey ever(and not just because of my personal bias Andy). You wouldn't at the very least get a hat?

It's not that I think Wallace could pull it off so much as it's now a possibility. Why else would Memphis rescind their qualifying offer unless Wallace had been approached about something.

Here's the other thing. The Grizzlies could make this deal at the trade deadline and not have to take on any additional salary until February.I should have mentioned that earlier.

In fact, they would be stupid to make the deal now.

Since luxury tax bills are based on a team's salary at the end of the season the Jazz can wait to move him until the deadline. The problem then is that they'd want something to replace him before the playoffs. Haslem could be that guy.

Miaim would then have Boozer's Bird Rights.
