Ilgauskas, Cavaliers Close In On Deal

Per George M. Thomas of the Akron Beacon Journal, Zydrunas Ilgauskas and the Cleveland Cavaliers are closing in on a deal that would bring Big Z back to Cleveland. Big Z’s return has been expected since the day he was traded but we are finally getting some details about his probable return. Herb Rudoy, Ilgauskas’ agent, said he expected things to go very smoothly and just had to iron out a couple of minor things with Cavs General Manager Danny Ferry. James Anderson Declares For NBA Draft

Oklahoma State Junior Guard James Anderson has declared for the NBA Draft. Anderson led the Big in scoring, putting up 22.3 points per game and was named the Big 12 Player of the Year. “It was a very difficult decision for me to make,” Anderson said. “After discussing the pros and cons with my parents and coach Ford and my high school coach, I believe now’s the time to pursue my dream by playing in the NBA.” Anderson’s Cowboys were eliminated in the first round by the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Friday. Gregg Popovich Thinks The Magic Can Win A Title

After Wednesday’s loss to the Orlando Magic, Spurs Head Coach Greg Popovich had some interesting things to say about the Magic. “I think they are built for championships. They have everything that it takes. They have all the elements there. It’s a matter of being consistent and focused.
