NBA All-Star 2013: All-Star Saturday Night Participants Revealed

As announced earlier this evening on NBA on TNT, the full list of participants for NBA All-Star Saturday Night, which will take place next Saturday, February 16, have now been officially revealed.

The event consists of Sears Shooting Stars, a competition featuring NBA players, WNBA players, and NBA legends; the Taco Bell Skills Challenge, a contest of top guards working against the clock to complete a series of passes, free throws, layups and agility drills; the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest; and the Sprite Slam Dunk contest. As per the new format, the Eastern Conference (captained by Dwayne Wade) will go head-to-head with the Western Conference (captained by Chris Paul) in each competition.

For the 2013 Sprite Slam Dunk Contest, the East will be represented by Gerald Green (Indiana Pacers), rookie Terrence Ross (Toronto Raptors) and James White (New York Knicks). The West will feature Eric Bledsoe (Los Angeles Clippers), Kenneth Faried (Denver Nuggets) and Jeremy Evans (Utah Jazz).

For the 2013 Foot Locker Three-Point Contest, Kyrie Irving (Cleveland Cavaliers), Paul George (Indiana Pacers) and Steve Novak (New York Knicks) will shoot for the East, while Ryan Anderson (New Orleans Hornets), Matt Bonner (San Antonio Spurs) and Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors) will shoot for the West.

For the 2013 Taco Bell Skills Challenge, Jrue Holiday (Philadelphia 76ers), Jeff Teague (Atlanta Hawks) and Brandon Knight (Detroit Pistons) will compete for the East, while rookie Damian Lillard (Portland TrailBlazers), Tony Parker (San Antonio Spurs) and Jeremy Lin (Houston Rockets) will participate on behalf of the West.

Finally, for the Sears Shooting Stars, the following four teams will particpate:

Team Bosh: Chris Bosh (Miami Heat), NBA Legend Dominique Wilkins, WNBA player Swin Cash

Team Lopez: Brook Lopez (Brooklyn Nets), NBA Legend Muggsy Bogues, WNBA player Tamika Catchings

Team Harden: James Harden (Houston Rockets), NBA Legend Sam Cassell, WNBA player Tina Thompson

Team Westbrook: Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City Thunder), NBA Legend Robert Horry, WNBA player Maya Moore

NBA All-Star weekend 2013 will run from February 15-17 at the Toyota Centre in Houston, Texas.
