We are just hours away from the 2013 edition of the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest, which takes place later tonight as part of NBA All-Star Saturday night in Houston.

Terrence Ross of the Toronto Raptors, James White of the New York Knicks, Eric Bledsoe of the Los Angeles Clippers, Kenneth Faried of the Denver Nuggets, Gerald Green of the Indiana Pacers and defending champion Jeremy Evens of the Utah Jazz will look to make history and join the likes of Michael Jordan, Vince Carter and Dwight Howard as those who have reigned supreme in this competition.

I recently showed some love to some of the most underrated jams in dunk contest history, but I can’t ignore the best of the best when it comes to this event.
