If the NBA Playoffs were to begin today, the Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies would meet yet again in the opening round. Although Los Angeles holds down the fourth seed, the Grizzlies would be the team with home court advantage, as they currently own the better record (50-24). Eric Pincus, a senior NBA writer for HoopsWorld, looks at this potential matchup, and whether the Clippers can overcome the Grizzlies stifling defense once again.

The Los Angeles Lakers will retire Shaquille O’Neal’s jersey before their game against the Dallas Mavericks Tuesday night. In his eight seasons with the franchise, O’Neal brought the Lakers three NBA World Championships. As a retrospective of his career, Jesse Dorsey of Bleacher Report looks back at the 10 greatest moments of Shaq’s tenure in Los Angeles.

Andrew Wiggins, the number one prospect in the country and the projected number one pick of the 2014 NBA Draft, recently blew fans away with his performance at the 2013 McDonald’s All-American Dunk Contest. His second jam, a 360-degree, between-the-legs dunk, is better than anything NBA fans have seen at any dunk contest in recent memory.

While the Charlotte Bobcats season has been nothing short of disastrous, their have been small glimmers of hope for the future, especially with the improved play of point guard Kemba Walker. Bryan Wendland, a staff writer for Roberto Gato of the FanSided network, believes Walker deserves strong consideration for the NBA Most Improved Player award, regardless of his association with the lowly Bobcats.

Jay-Z, the world-renowned rapper and shareholder with the Brooklyn Nets, will be starting his own sports representation agency called Roc Nation Sports. Tim Maclean, a staff writer for Saving The Skyhook of the FanSided network, believes this venture will be great for the NBA and its players. He wouldn’t even be surprised to see one player from every franchise signed by the agency within two to three years.
