Twitter Reacts: San Antonio Spurs Set To Sign Tracy McGrady

According to a report by Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the San Antonio Spurs are set to sign seven-time NBA All-Star Tracy McGrady for the remainder of the season.

During his 16-year NBA career, Tracy had stints with the Toronto Raptors, Orlando Magic, Houston Rockets, New York Knicks, Detroit Pistons and Atlanta Hawks. On October 9, 2012, McGrady signed a one-year deal with the Qingdao Eagles of the Chinese Basketball Association.

He was the NBA Scoring Champion in 2003 and 2004, averaging 32.1 and 28.0 points per game respectively. In 2001, Tracy was the recipient of the NBA’s Most Improved Player award. He was also named a member of the All-NBA team twice and the All-NBA second team three times over the course of his career.

McGrady will be eligible to compete in the postseason for San Antonio.

If the NBA Playoffs began today, the #2 Spurs would be matched up with the #7 Houston Rockets, a team with which Tracy spent six years with (2004-2010).
