Clippers-Celtics Update

Mark L. Baer-USA TODAY Sports

Per Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times, the potential trade sending Kevin Garnett (and Doc Rivers) from the Boston Celtics to the Los Angeles Clippers is “dead, dead, dead.”

Turner says the Clippers refused to give up two first round picks in the deal, insisting the Celtics were asking for “too much.”

Of course, the deal won’t truly be dead until the Clippers hire a head coach. Both former Memphis Grizzlies Lionel Hollins and current Indiana Pacers assistant Brian Shaw have interviewed for the job.
