Report: Celtics, Nets Closing in on Blockbluster Deal?

Today is officially NBA Draft day, but the Boston Celtics and the Brooklyn Nets sure want to steal the show.

YAHOO! NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting via Twitter that the Celtics and Nets are discussing a blockbuster deal that would send Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry to Brooklyn.

The Nets would send back Reggie Evans, sign-and-trade for Keith Bogans and one more minimum level player in exchange as well.

Boston traded the rights of head coach Doc Rivers to the Los Angeles Clippers officially earlier this week.

With the loss of Ray Allen (last year), Rivers (a few days ago) and now possibly Garnett and Pierce, it’s clearly the end of an era in Boston. It will be interesting to see, one, who they hire as a head coach, and two, who they give the reigns of the franchise to.

Also, what happens to Rajon Rondo now?

A key component is whether or not Garnett waives his no-trade clause. This deal could hinge on that. Stay tuned.
