Bucks To Keep Brandon Jennings
Earlier in the week, it looked like the Milwaukee Bucks intended to trade point guard Brandon Jennings.
According Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, that is no longer the case.
“It’s our intention for Brandon Jennings to remain a Milwaukee Buck,” Bucks General Manager John Hammond told Gardner. “We’re hoping to negotiate with him fairly through the July process.
Jennings averaged 17.5 points, 6.5 assists and 3.1 assists per game for the Bucks last season.
“At the conclusion of our negotiations, if we have not reached a deal and they choose to go out and seek an opportunity in the open market, our intention then would still be to match.”
Clippers, Raptors Talking Bledsoe
There have been a lot of rumors about Los Angeles Clippers backup point guard Eric Bledsoe and his future with the team. There have been rumors new Head Coach Doc Rivers wants to keep Bledsoe and play him alongside Chris Paul more often.
There has also been a lot of chatter about a potential swap of Bledsoe (and swingman Caron Butler for salary purposes) for Orlando Magic shooting guard Arron Afflalo.
It looks like the Magic aren’t the only team after Bledsoe.
“Sources told ESPN.com the talks between the Raptors and Clippers are still in the exploratory stage, but the Raptors’ interest in L.A.’s prized young point guard is said to be significant,” writes ESPN.com’s Marc Stein.
Stein adds the Raptors would try to include former top overall pick Andrea Bargnani in any deal for Bledsoe, but wing DeMar DeRozan “is the Raptor most likely to tempt the Clippers.”
