The (now) former Dallas Maverick free agent Anthony Morrow has agreed to sign with the New Orleans Pelicans, according to Yahoo’s Marc Spears.
Morrow had been linked to several teams throughout this free agency period, before ultimately deciding on New Orleans.
According to reports, his deal is worth a little more than the veteran’s minimum.
Morrow averaged 4.0 points per game playing for both the Atlanta Hawks and Mavs last season. Morrow is a career 42 percent shooter from three, and can really offer a nice and consistent shooting threat for New Orleans.
Let’s hope he can actually get off the bench this season.
MONTA ELLIS UPDATE
ESPN’s Chris Broussard tweeted, earlier today, that Monta Ellis is hoping to make his decision on who to sign with in the next 36-48 hours. According to Broussard, Ellis is deciding between Atlanta, Sacramento, Charlotte and Dallas.
Earlier reports indicated that the Atlanta Hawks were early leaders in the clubhouse, Sacramento was making a late push.
Ellis averaged 19.2 points, 6.0 assists and 3.9 rebounds last season for the Milwaukee Bucks.
