It is officially official.

The Milwaukee Bucks have OFFICIALLY signed Atlanta Hawks free agent Jeff Teague to an offer sheet. Yesterday it was reported that Bucks officials were not going to play this rumor game.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinal‘s Charles F. Gardner is reporting that “Bucks officials not commenting on whether an offer sheet has been tendered to Atlanta Hawks guard Jeff Teague.”

Late, late last night it was no longer a rumor or speculation. It was news.

Now, there are reports that indicate him sticking with the Bucks. The Hawks aren’t likely to match.

Earlier this week it was reported that the Hawks would, possibly, be interested in facilitating a sign-and-trade with the Bucks for Brandon Jennings and Teague. It is unclear at this point if that’s still an option.

BILLUPS RETURNS TO DETROIT

Chauncey Billups’ NBA career lifted-off once he became a member of the Detroit Pistons. Five years later, he’s headed back and hoping to finish his career where he made his name.

Billups and the Pistons agreed on a two-year deal, worth $5 million-plus.

Billups is a five-time All-Star and the NBA Finals MVP for his performance in the Pistons’ 2004 championship series victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. He averaged 8.4 points per game last season with the Los Angeles Clippers, his lowest points average since his 2000-01 season with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
