As the World Turns. One life to live. Passions. Brandon Jennings.
What do all those have in common? They’re all bad soap opera’s. Sadly, for us. The Jennings one continues to turn.
Its latest episode features the Milwaukee Bucks (his current or former team) trying — and probably hoping — to find someone else to replace Jennings.
This comes shortly after the Bucks strukout trying signing Atlanta Hawks free agent Jeff Teague. Milwaukee signed Teague to an offer sheet worth about $8 million per season,$4 million less than what Jennings has been reportedly asking for, but was matched by the Hawks.
According to HoopsHype, the Bucks believed that “Teague was a little better fit and was surely cheaper”. Again, they couldn’t control the Hawks matching, though.
If you want to go back even further, you can even handout some blame (in the eyes of Milwaukee) to Monta Ellis. Ellis decided to spurn Atlanta (when they were considered the favorites to sign Ellis) and sign with Dallas. That prompted the Hawks to go back to Teague, at least according to Gery Woelfel of the Racine Journal Times.
This soap opera will continue, at least another day. It may end tomorrow, maybe over the weekend. But there’s no guarantee. For the sake of humanity, will some one just give Jennings the $12 million he’s been asking for?
No, not you Milwaukee.
Also, can anyone tell me what the heck the Bucks are doing?? You know, other than blaming Ellis and the Hawks.
