Just when if felt like Mike Miller to Oklahoma City was inevitable, the Denver Nuggets try to ruin everything.
According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Nuggets have the ability to offer Miller something that the Thunder simply can’t, guaranteed playing time.
“Hearing: Denver has emerged as new threat in Mike Miller chase along w/OKC & MEM. Nuggets have wing PT to offer after Iguodala/Brewer exits”
But is that enough to sway Miller from wanting to play for a contender — assuming that the Nuggets aren’t a contender in his eyes.
How important is playing time for Miller? Well, according to Palm Beach Post Miami Heat Columnist Ethan Skolnick, it is a big factor. It even came to the point when Miller, reportedly, wanted to be traded from Miami because he was unhappy with the amount of playing time he was receiving.
Miller badly wanted to play more this season. Even requested a trade early in the season. So he'll be fine elsewhere.

The question that the Thunder will have to answer is whether they can offer him more minutes than the Nuggets, or even Memphis.
Miller doesn’t have to rush anything, so his decision could be a while. From indications, it sounds like it will come down to Denver, OKC and Memphis. At this point, the Thunder should be considered the favorites.
