Team: Philadelphia 76ers
Position: Power Forward/Center
Analysis: Philadelphia 76ers fans shouldn’t expect much out of Nerlens Noel in his rookie season, as he is still recovering from an ACL tear and does not have a specific date planned out as to when he will make his return. He might return in December or January, he might not play all season. Obviously, the Sixers want to make sure that if and when he does return, he should be 100 % healthy because they don’t want to take any risks on his long term future as the 76ers need him to be their franchise centerpiece.
While he might not have an outstanding first few seasons, Noel might just be one of the best players in the league down the road. He has a huge amount of upside and was one of, if not, the most talented players in the draft. He definitely has a lot to improve on, but with his determination and work ethic, he can be one of the most dominant players in the league, especially if he puts on a few pounds to handle larger and stronger players.
Noel is going to be one of the most important players for this franchises future, so as long as he can stay healthy, he is going to make a tremendous impact on this Sixers future.
