Hakeem Olajuwon States The Obvious About Blake Griffin

Lately, plenty, and I mean by the handful, have been waiting for their chance at learning a thing or two from all-time great NBA big man Hakeem Olajuwon. Apparently, it’s now Blake Griffin’s time.

George Kiel III had an exclusive interview with Olajuwon and the legend had some choice words for current Los Angeles Clippers star:

“I don’t know that I would like to, but a player that needs [my help] is Blake Griffin. If you look at Blake, he’s very explosive, but he needs the moves that can get him in that position where he can finish. [...] So he would be an ideal guy to where, when I watch him play and I see how explosive he is, I’d give him all of these moves to take him to a whole different level.”

Griffin, no question, has improved in every season that he’s been in the NBA. However, one main criticism of the big man is his inability to take guys into the low post and “go to work”. Griffin has the athleticism, the ability, he really just needs the skill set. A summer, or a couple weeks, with Olajuwon wouldn’t be the worst thing for the 24-year-old forward.

Give Griffin a post game and good night.
