They’re Back …

Last year was filled with a lot of superstars out with injuries. Well, they’re back, and some of them are ready to make a huge impact. Here is a list of some of the players ready to jump back into stardom.

Derrick Rose – If anyone is going to make a huge impact on their team, it’s Rose. After more than a year off, he’s ready to return to his MVP form. He took all the time he needed to heal. Just look what is happening to Robert Griffin of the Washington Redskins. He rushed back and has looked like a shell of himself in the first few games of the season. Rose is going to explode for huge numbers. Last year, Rose spent most of the time perfecting his outside shot, something he wasn’t consistent with before the injury. He will challenge LeBron James for the MVP.

Danny Granger – Granger will be coming off a serious knee injury. He attempted to come back a few times last year, but the confidence level just wasn’t there. With plenty of time to recover, look for him to help out Paul George and the Indiana Pacers. He won’t be asked to carry the scoring load, but will be asked to be that outside threat the Pacers were missing last year. He will give the Pacers another body to put on James and the Heat. His scoring will be down, but the difference he makes will be huge.

Kevin Love – The Minnesota Timberwolves missed Love a lot last year. He fills up the stat sheet. For a big man, Love is an excellent passer, as well. He was an all-star before his injury, and he’ll be an all-star again. He’s going to be a rebounding machine for the Wolves, and it’s going to be much-needed. The Wolves did a good job upgrading the roster as much as they could. They brought in Kevin Martin, who will help open things up for Love on the inside. I look for a monster year for Love.

Russell Westbrook – Though he didn’t miss much time, Westbrook missed the most important part of the season – the playoffs. He had to watch the Oklahoma City Thunder fall apart without his leadership. He will be his normal self, helping carry the load alongside Kevin Durant. Another all-star notch is in the cards for him.

Kobe Bryant – The Lakers are going to be a miserable team, but we’re not talking about teams. Bryant will come back during the year and be rusty. He’ll get his normal averages, but it won’t really help the team. Bryant will be an all-star player again. It’s going to be the same story. Don’t expect anything less from this veteran.
