Rajon Rondo Out Until December, Westbrook Not Yet Cleared + Stoudemire Sits

The Boston Celtics better hope Avery Bradley can stay healthy.

Because it appears that their all-star point guard won’t be ready to play until December. CSNNE.com is reporting that Celtics GM Danny Ainge said in a radio interview that he would be “shocked” if Rajon Rondo is ready to play in season opener.

Russell Westbrook vows to be better than ever when he returns from injury, but that’s not right now.

Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder haven’t given any specific timeline on Kevin Durant’s sidekicks return, but if he isn’t cleared for basketball activities yet, then he probably won’t be able to start the season on time.

“I’m going to come back and be better,” Westbrook said matter-of-factly Monday, with the same unshakable swagger he’s always shown….

Westbrook has not yet been cleared to resume full basketball activities, and neither him nor team officials are providing a timetable for when that final obstacle will be overcome.

The New York Knicks are going to great lengths to protect and try to salvage Amare Stoudemire’s knees as much as possible.

According to ESPNNewYork.com, Stoudemire is in New York practicing with teammates but once scrimmaging starts, he sits them out.

“We don’t want to risk [injury]. Not in practice. We’d rather have them for the 82 [games] that we have coming up,” Felton said at an Under Armor-sponsored event at Macy’s in Manhattan.
