Kobe Bryant Says He’d Probably Play Today If He Had To

Kobe Bryant is healthy enough.

Healthy enough to hypothetically say he’d play today if it was the NBA playoffs or an NBA Finals game. Of course. Now whether you believe him or not is another thing.

If anything, Kobe is walking the walk of what we’ve come to know. Kobe is the ultimate warrior. HE KEPT PLAYING EVEN AFTER HE TORE HIS ACHILLES.

Kobe also told Kevin Ding that he tests himself in practice every day (even though he isn’t involved in the team activities yet).

He also said that he’s been running “heavy” on the treadmill the last few days, more than he had been doing in the past.

A week and a half ago, Kobe left to Germany to have Platlet-rich Plamsa Therapy performed on his knee — nothing to do with his Achilles injury. I guess that can mean that he feels pretty confident where he is recovery-wise.

I don’t think he would’ve attended to another nagging injury or problem if he was still concerned about his achilles. Sounds like he isn’t.

There have been various reports indicating that Kobe might not be ready to play in the season opener, but it kind of sounds like he’s getting ready to. I’m sure in his mind he is.

I wouldn’t put it past Kobe to be in the starting lineup on opening night. Why bet against him?
