Because the Houston Rockets still haven’t decided who’s starting at the four position, they have elected to give-in a try the Omer Asik/Dwight Howard lineup experiment.

“We’ll start big with Omer and Dwight, see how that looks,” McHale said. “It will be a really good test because Dirk is such a good spread four. Both Omer and Dwight haven’t done that that much. If that’s going to work, they’ll have to play against those type of guys. I want to look at that.
“They’re working their way through stuff. They both have the same instincts to protect the rim and protect the paint. When one is down there the other is going to have to pick up a trailing shooter. There’s some little things they’re working on.”
Can you imagine how great a defensive wall that would create if in fact they decide to go with this lineup on a regular basis? Unreal. No one would ever drive, or do it effectively against Houston.
Then again, we all know that this isn’t a situation that Asik wants to be in. Or maybe he does, he said there would be no problem. When you deny that you have a problem with someone by declining to comment, I think that means you have a problem with it, right? Oh, well.
Either way, it’s happening on Monday against the Dallas Mavericks. Problem or not.
