NBA Finals, Game 7, down 1 with possession of the ball. You have every star in the NBA on your team (bear with me), who do you want taking that last shot?

It’s a common question, a common theme with no common answer. It may vary from Kobe Bryant to LeBron James to Paul Pierce. There’s probably no wrong answer, either, because it’s impossible to narrow down to just one option.

Make it, you win; miss, you lose.

Though, according the the NBA General Managers survey, they say the best bet is to take Kevin Durant — about 40 percent of them all agree.

Which player would you want taking a shot with the game on the line?

1. Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City — 39.3%

2. Kobe Bryant, L.A. Lakers — 32.1%

3. Carmelo Anthony, New York; LeBron James, Miami — 7.1%

Also receiving votes: Ray Allen, Miami; Manu Ginobili, San Antonio; Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas; Chris Paul, L.A. Clippers

Last year: Kevin Durant — 46.7%

I think the bigger news is that Kobe is no longer that player. For years, he was THE MAN in that situation, right? Like it was a no-brainer. But I really think all these people keep sleeping on LeBron James. Give me LeBron and I’ll live with the outcome. At this point in his career, I feel comfortable with that.

The survey also named James Harden the best shooting guard in the league, not Kobe. I can live with that too.
