Veteran point guard Jamaal Tinsley was signed by the Utah Jazz right before the season, to bring stability to the backcourt after rookie Trey Burke broke his finger. It didn’t quite workout as well as they thought it would, though.
Tinsley started five of the Jazz’s eight games, posting these incredible numbers: 1.1 points a game on 20 percent shooting, plus 2.9 assists per game. Welp. That was on top of shooting an ice cold 1 for 15 from three.
The Jazz plan on replacing Tinsley’s presence on the roster with a name you probably haven’t heard of…
Garrett is a second year player from Iowa State, technically he appeared in 19 games for the Phoenix Suns last season. He averaged 2.1 points in 7.8 minutes in those 19 contests.
Right now Garrett is a member of the D-League Iowa Energy.
