Derrick Rose doesn't rule out a return for the playoffs

Here we go again.

Remember when Derrick Rose was criticized last season for not coming back for the NBA Playoffs, after he had been cleared to play by the doctors? Turns out, we could be well on that road once again. SIGH.

Rose met with reporters for the first time since his most recent injury, and basically put an awfully lot of pressure back on him.

When asked if he could return for the playoffs, Rose cracked the door.

“I mean, if I’m healthy, and the situation is right, I’m going to be back playing,” Rose said. “If I’m healthy, and my meniscus is fully healed, of course I’ll be out there playing. But if it’s something totally different, and the outcome is not how I would want it to be, there’s no need.”

WHY WHY WHY.

Why would you put yourself through that again, Derrick. Yes, I’m going first name on ya. Just shut it down, take another year off and get healthy. What’s the worst that could go wrong? Nothing.

On the other hand, what’s the best that could go right? Let’s say the Bulls make the playoffs (which, at the rate in which the Eastern Conference is going, is very possible), what’s the best possible scenario? Get to the second round and lose to the Pacers or the Heat? Probably.

I don’t want to talk about what could happen if Derrick speeds his recovery process and pushes to play in April. It’s too depressing. Just don’t comeback this season, Derrick. Call it a day and get back on it next year.

Looking to see Chicago this season?  Bulls tickets are still available so make sure to cheer on the team while Rose is out.
