Every week, we will be discussing the game of the week – a game not worth missing.
This will be a week worth watching. There are a ton of games of note. A lot of possible playoff previews will be in the mix for this week.
GAME OF THE WEEK
Indiana Pacers at Golden State Warriors – Monday, January 20, 10:30 p.m.
Offense meets defense in this one. How will the Pacers slow down Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson? How will the Warriors handle Roy Hibbert? This will be the Pacers first game of a West Coast trip. You can expect them to come out strong. The Warriors have looked really good as of late. Can they keep it going?
Portland Trail Blazers at Houston Rockets – Monday, January 20, 8 p.m.
The Trail Blazers continue to surprise a lot of people. LaMarcus Aldridge is proving to be one of the best power forwards in the game. Damian Lillard is just what this team needed as far as a playmaker. How will the Blazers contend with Dwight Howard protecting the paint?
Portland Trail Blazers at Oklahoma City Thunder – Tuesday, January 21, 8 p.m.
It’s another tough game for the Blazers. They will need to stop Kevin Durant who went off on the Warriors last week for 54 points. The Thunder has relied heavily on Durant with Russell Westbrook out.
Oklahoma City Thunder at San Antonio Spurs – Wednesday, January 22, 8 p.m.
This is most likely a Western Conference Finals preview. It’s always a question mark whether or not Coach Gregg Popovich plays his stars. If he does, this should be a grind it out game.
San Antonio Spurs at Miami Heat – Sunday, January 26, 1 p.m.
It’s an NBA Finals rematch. Last year, both teams rested their stars during their regular season matchups. It could happen again. The Spurs still feel like they let a championship slip through their hands last year.
Portland Trail Blazers at Golden State Warriors – Sunday, January 26, 9 p.m.
This is a brutal week for Portland, but they have to get through these stretches to show that they are a legitimate contender. There will be lots of scoring in this game.
