As the Miami Heat continue its quest for the rare three-peat, this season does have a strange “this is it” feeling when it comes to the Miami Heat’s big three of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
And perhaps there’s more to that than just the feeling. According to ESPN’s Chad Ford, that sense is also felt among NBA executives:
“Doubt it,” wrote Ford about LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade all remaining with the Heat beyond the current season. “But I’m not sure it will be LeBron that leaves. From what I can gather talking to teams and agents around the league, it’s Chris Bosh who is the most likely to leave. LeBron and Wade are so good, I think we all forget what a force Bosh can be. Lots of teams would give him the max and feature him in ways Miami can’t. LeBron might leave, but I think the odds are in Miami’s favor.”
He said that in response to the question “opening night next year — Is the big three still intact in Miami”.
It’s ironic that even though all the rumors are centered around LeBron James leaving the Miami Heat, that it could very well be Bosh that ends up leaving.
