Lakers' Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash likely out for the season

The end of Steve Nash’s NBA career appears to be just around the corner. He’s fought through injuries that, at this point, he just can’t control anymore.

And, at least as far as this season goes, Nash has played his final game in a Los Angeles Lakers uniform.

Similarly, Kobe Bryant has fought injuries pretty much all year long. He’s had to overcome the issues that is his recovering Achilles tendon, plus, the fact that he fractured his lateral tibial plateau in December. It was an injury that, at the time, was an estimated six-week recovery. However, Kobe still hasn’t been cleared by doctors and time is running out on this season.

A few weeks ago Kobe was still experiencing knee soreness and wasn’t medically cleared. He was scheduled to be reevaluated three weeks later and it appears that he’s still not cleared.

There’s no question that if Kobe doesn’t return this season, he’ll be back next season. For Nash, however, that isn’t the case. We may have very well seen the last of Nash in the NBA.

Sad way to see him leave like this, not on his terms.
