Chris Bosh is by far the most overlooked superstar in Miami. He’s never been really respected as the third man of the “Big Three”, and often takes the hammer when the Miami Heat don’t play up to par.
So, realistically, if there’s only one out of the Big Three that’s going to leave Miami, it’s got to be him…right? He’s been labeled as soft, and often gets chopped down for his inability to enforce the majority of his damage out of the low post — he’s never been that player.
He’s still good enough of a player to earn a max deal, or something really close to that, on the open market, which he could hit if he opts-out of his current contract. And one of the teams that could waiting with open arms on the other end of that spectrum, could be the Los Angeles Lakers.
“It seems most GMs feel Bosh (and not Anthony) is the second biggest potential prize on the upcoming market. But if James goes back to the Heat, Bosh will, too. If not, the Lakers are secretly interested, sources said.”
Bosh has averaged 16 points and seven rebounds for the Heat this season, but could serves as a really good replacement for Pau Gasol — who isn’t expected to return to the Lakers next season.
Most have always assumed that Bosh would be a good fit in LA, now we may get a chance to see this actually play out.
