Steve Kerr threw a huge monkey wrench in Phil Jackson’s master plan in bringing the New York Knicks back to relevance when he elected to become the new head coach of the Golden State Warriors and not the lowly, and uncertainty-filled Knicks. Shocker, I know.
However, the zen master is never fazed. He’s ready to tit the Warriors’ tat, so to say. He’ll want to act firmly, and quickly. The question is, but with who?
And Ramona Shelburne, of ESPN LA, potentially may have the answer. Or a myriad of them.
WAIT, MARK MADSEN???
YES MARK MADSEN!
Not really the mount rushmore of coaches but when practically your entire roster is a question mark, it’s going to be extremely difficult to find a seasoned head coach (or even a young up-and-comer) that is willing to commit to it.
Even though there are some interesting names on that short list of potential coaches, I can’t really see any of those being “the one.” It’s just a gut feeling.
But how great would it be to see Madsen coaching? Though, he needs to sign a no-dance clause into his contract. That has to be a must.
