NBA Rumors: Cleveland Cavaliers Preparing Offer For Kevin Love?

The Cleveland Cavaliers have won the NBA Draft lottery three times in the past four years, but haven’t had much luck while picking No. 1 overall.

They have Kyrie Irving, and not much more to show for it. So, maybe it’s time to go another route. Perhaps they’d rather trade the pick for an already proven player? Maybe Kevin Love?

And according to Darren Wolfson of ESPN 1500, there is a little truth in that idea.

Though, the Cavs are probably going to need a bit more than the No. 1 overall pick (you’d think) to intice the Minnesota Timberwolves to execute a swap. Plus, there’s no guarantee that Love will be willing to sign in Cleveland long term. In fact, it’s probably an unlikely scenario.

But you can’t deny the fact that a Kyrie Irving/Love combo would be intriguing, to say the least. I’m sure this is only the beginning when it comes to these types of NBA rumors, but this idea does have some substance to it.

When I think about it, is an Irving/Love combo good enough to potentially lure LeBron James away from the Miami Heat? OK, I’ll stop now.
