The Cleveland Cavaliers have won the NBA Draft lottery three times in the past four years, but haven’t had much luck while picking No. 1 overall.
And according to Darren Wolfson of ESPN 1500, there is a little truth in that idea.
The Cavs have legit interest in trading for Love, and did last year. No belief yet from #Twolves they'd include the #1 pick in any proposal.

Though, the Cavs are probably going to need a bit more than the No. 1 overall pick (you’d think) to intice the Minnesota Timberwolves to execute a swap. Plus, there’s no guarantee that Love will be willing to sign in Cleveland long term. In fact, it’s probably an unlikely scenario.
But you can’t deny the fact that a Kyrie Irving/Love combo would be intriguing, to say the least. I’m sure this is only the beginning when it comes to these types of NBA rumors, but this idea does have some substance to it.
When I think about it, is an Irving/Love combo good enough to potentially lure LeBron James away from the Miami Heat? OK, I’ll stop now.
