The Miami Heat signed Greg Oden for one reason last summer. And two games into that reason, Oden has seen zero minutes and hasn’t even been activated for those games.
However, that may change in Game 3. When the Indiana Pacers take the court against the Heat in South Beach, it may be against a different Heat team. It could be against a Heat team with size — at least 10-15 minutes worth of it (if that).
According to Heat coach Eric Spoelstra, Oden had a good week of practice and could see some time in Game 3.
Despite Spoelstra’s cryptic answers regarding Oden’s availability in Game 3, the often-injured center is staying ready.
We shouldn’t be surprised either way. However, in March Oden got a shot at Roy Hibbert and it didn’t go so well.
In that first quarter, against Oden, Hibbert finished with 13 points and shot 75 percent (6-for-8) from the field. That’s good, I think.
And his shot chart was healthy.
I’m sure Hibbert would welcome the challenge.
