Carmelo Anthony has a big decision coming this summer (or potentially next summer), however, there’s growing speculation that LeBron James can make Melo’s upcoming “decision” a whole lot simpler.
All he has to do is follow in LeBron’s 2010 footsteps, minus the whole “Decision” theatrics. And if LeBron is waiting with open arms, it’s going to be tough for Melo to simply wave off the best player in the world — who also happens to be one of his closest friends.
And according to ESPN’s Stephen A Smith, it’s a real possibility that a LeBron/Melo collaboration could happen, and potentially as soon as next season.

How does the thought of a “Big Four” sound in Miami? If people hate the Heat now, imagine how much flack they would warrant if Melo took his talents to South Beach this summer?
Though, if such situation would even be a possibility, the Heat’s Big Three would have to take a significant pay cut to make it all work out on the salary front. And I’m not sure how much of a possibility that is.
However, LeBron and Dwyane Wade would be able to manage with a pay cut, mostly due to their endorsements. And Chris Bosh has already gone on record that he’s willing to do whatever it takes to continue his ride with the Heat. Though, would Melo be willing to take a pay cut. Ultimately, it just may come down to that.
Still, it’s fun to think about. No matter how unlikely it is for now.
