NBA Rumors: Lakers Considering Byron Scott, Alvin Gentry, Kurt Rambis

NBA Rumors

While the Los Angeles Lakers continue to play the patience game when it comes to hiring their next head coach, they’re also narrowing the playing field down to a few select candidates.

And according to Bleacher Report’s Howard Beck, the Lakers are focusing on three candidates right now — Byron Scott, Alvin Gentry and Kurt Rambis.

(Hold your laughter)

The Los Angeles Lakers have interviewed at least a half-dozen coaches, but sources say they are focused on three primary candidates: Rambis, Alvin Gentry and Byron Scott.

Again, as USA Today reported earlier in the week, the Los Angeles Lakers are hoping to hold off on hiring a head coach in an attempt to lure LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony or any other “big name” superstar this summer.

However, if the Lakers are dangling these names as their “favorites” to become their next head coach, wouldn’t they repel the likes of LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony?

LeBron left Cleveland when they hired Byron Scott, and Gentry and Ramis aren’t exactly superstar-attracting big names. And I have this eerie feeling that Carmelo Anthony is going to team-up with either LeBron or some other fixture of stars. He won’t chase Kobe Bryant.

I wonder if the author feels ashamed that he’s quoting a source from Bleacher Report. I guess not, it’s Fansided. And, how funny… the link he cites doesn’t work.

Rambis is a strong candidate for NYC. Gentry isn’t on the radar.
Did you just make up a bogus article and B.S. a citation?
    - It appears so.

The link is there. It works. Not sure how this is a made up “bogus” article?
