NBA Rumors

If the Miami Heat are going to keep the Big Three intact, they’re going to need to make some significant changes to their roster. Specifically to their bench and perhaps add that need reliable point guard and/or center that they were never able to ink during the Big Three’s first four seasons.

According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, that’s exactly what the Heat plan on doing (if Heat management can persuade LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade to take less money) and one of the handful of free agents that share mutual interest with the Heat is Kyle Lowry of the Toronto Raptors.

"[ESPN h/t Hoops Rumors]The guy that has mutual interest with the Heat, who plays a position of need, would be Kyle Lowry of the Toronto Raptors. But, again, that’s a long shot unless these guys take big pay cuts."

However, I’m not sure if Raptors GM Masai Ujiri will let Lowry walk that easily. It’s already known that the majority of the Raptors front office hold Lowry as one of the team’s top, if not the top, priority this summer. But if we’ve learned anything from 2010, we can’t doubt Pat Riley and the Heat front office.

Unlikelier things have happened.
