What Chris Bosh has told the media, and what the media has told us about Chris Bosh has been two completely different things. It’s quite odd.
Then again, it is NBA Free Agency.
However, it is quite strange that Bosh has repeatedly told the media, fans during radio shows and interviews throughout the season that he wants to stay in Miami and that he’s willing to take a pay cut if that’s what it takes. The media has told us the complete opposite of that lately. Instead, reports surfaced that the 30-year-old power forward wants a max deal, and that he’d prefer one with another team to taking less money to stay with the Heat.
That’s news. To everyone.
And perhaps even to Chris Bosh.
Source close to Bosh says he still wants to be in Miami. “No change,” source says. What that means, well, stay tuned. I guess.

In all honesty, I’m not sure what this means. I’m not sure if “no change” means that Bosh is still willing to take a pay cut to remain in Miami, as he had been saying during the season, or if means “no change” because he still wants a max deal.
At this point, I don’t think anyone actually knows what’s going on other than these players themselves. At the end of the day, this could be just one huge smokescreen and the Big Three could just be trolling all of us. If so, they win. Or all these reports could be true, and maybe the demise of the Big three is a few days away. Either way, there’s a good chance that we’re going to find out the truth fairly soon.
