There’s nothing better than LeBron James, no doubt about it. Even though the Miami Heat lost out on LeBron Friday to the Cleveland Cavaliers, there’s really no time to sit around and mope about it. Instead, it’s time for them to move on and begin looking at other free agents that could make an immediate impact alongside Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
And since the real LeBron James left, why not target (or at least inquire) about Mini-LeBron?
That’s exactly what the Heat are reportedly doing.
Heat reaching out to Eric Bledsoe. Free agent PG would be an excellent fit in Miami.

On Friday, the Phoenix Suns (Bledsoe’s incumbent squad) picked up Isaiah Thomas from Sacramento in a sign and trade, potentially making Bledsoe a little more expendable. Though, odds are that the Suns would match any offer that Bledsoe would warrant.

In summary, just because Pat Riley lost out on LeBron James doesn’t mean he’s done. Riley managed to secure Chris Bosh and will likely re-sign Dwyane Wade. Something else will come, at the very least Riley will do everything in his power to try.
Pat Riley doesn’t swing for singles, doubles or 6 seeds. Not his history. Not who he is. Fully expecting him to go for something bigger.

Miami won’t be a Championship favorite next season, but by no means will they be a lottery team, either.
