NBA Rumors

With NBA training camps opening in roughly two months, there’s still much left unsettled in this NBA offseason. Between the Kevin LoveEric Bledsoe and Greg Monroe rumors, there’s also the FIBA World Cup that is set ti tip-off in a couple weeks.

In the meantime, we have to comb our way though on-going rumors.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly the last team standing in the Kevin Love trade rumors – ESPN

sources this week have described the Cavs as the only team currently in contention for Love. Sources say the Chicago Bulls are increasingly pessimistic about their chances of trumping Cleveland’s offer, while the Golden State Warriors remain unwilling to bend on their longstanding refusal to surrender Klay Thompson in a deal for Love.

one source said Wednesday that James himself already is “looking forward” to the prospect of welcoming the All-Star power forward as his newest teammate.

Yet league officials are adamant that there can be no acknowledgement of a trade, from either the Wolves or the Cavaliers, until the 30 days pass from Wiggins’ signing.

Pat Riley didn’t think LeBron was leaving, but believes his Heat recovered well – Sun-Sentinel

Riley said he went into free agency selling guys on playing with LeBron in Miami next year.

“I went in with the notion that he was coming back. So I was selling it to players. I let him know that prior to free agency, that was the direction I was going. He never said to me, ‘Don’t do that.’ I don’t think I was misled. But I don’t think I was encouraged either. That’s business.”

“It’s fired me up. I don’t like to get beat at anything. . . . This process didn’t take anything out of me other than this one notion . . . that [generational team] chain has been broken prematurely.”
