With the NBA offseason nearing its end, and the regular season creeping closer, we now have a decent idea as to what to expect come the 2014-15 season.

We know which teams have improved on paper and what teams seem poised for a decline. Some teams improved through free agency or the NBA Draft while others were unable to make moves because they lacked the cap space, or the picks. As for the teams trending up, they are teams that improved during the summer to the point that they have evolved from non-playoff teams to now playoff contenders, or playoff contenders who became championship contenders.

Here are five teams that fall under that category, and are trending up for the upcoming season.
