Houston Rockets star, James Harden, has said something that just might question his reliability.

Harden is a good player, don’t get me wrong. He’s on the USA national team and a major key to the Houston Rockets’ success.  And according to an interview posted on ESPN.com this week, he thinks he’s better player than… anyone.

From ESPN.com:

Scoop: Bottom line, you are on this team and a lot of players aren’t, but in your mind, who is the best basketball player alive right now?

Harden: Myself.

Hey Harden, I can name 10 basketball players better then you right now:

1. Kobe Bryant

2. Lebron James

3. Kevin Durant

4. Carmelo Anthony

5. Dwyane Wade

6. Dwight Howard

7. Tim Duncan

8.Russell Westbrook

9.Tony Parker

10.Chris Paul

Again, this is what Harden said from ESPN.com:

Scoop: That’s what I was about to say, “including you.” You made that sound like it was an easy answer.

Harden: It is. Myself.

James Harden’s confidence might have grew but his mind may have taken a step back.

Harden let me tell you something, everyone I just mentioned on the list above plays defense. Studies have shown you don’t. How can you be the best basketball player alive and don’t know how to play defense?
