According to ESPN.com, the Phoenix Suns are poised to make one final push for Minnesota Timberwolves’ Kevin Love. Per the report, the Suns looking at the possibility of putting together a package centered around Eric Bledsoe in exchange for Love.
With just hours to go before a planned megadeal the would send Kevin Love to Cleveland, thePhoenix Suns reached out to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday to ask once more about the possibility of acquiring Love in a sign-and-trade for guard Eric Bledsoe, sources told ESPN.com.
The Cavs, Wolves and Sixers have a reported three-team trade “in place.” The trade would send Wiggins, Bennett and Young to Minnesota; Kevin Love to Cleveland; and Alexey Shved, Luc Mbah A Moute and a first round pick (from Cleveland via Miami) to Philadelphia.
Talks between the Suns and Bledsoe have been going nowhere for months. Bledsoe wants the full five-year, $85 million max extension and Phoenix isn’t simply willing to offer that presently.
Bledsoe averaged 17.7 points and 5.5 assists in 43 games last season with the Suns. He was forced to miss the latter part of the year (39 games) due to a knee injury, which required surgery.
