FIBA World Cup Roundup: Brazil, US, Spain Take Early Step

In day 1 of the FIBA World Cup in Spain, we saw blowouts, surprises and even a few letdowns.

Most importantly, though, we found a few teams take the necessary first steps in their journey to gold. In the opening games of the day, Croatia slipped by the Philippines’ upset bid; Ukraine took care of the Dominican Republic; and Angola stormed passed Korea.

All in all, it was the perfect way to being a 12-game slate.
