In the latest edition of our NBA power rankings, we say farewell to the NBA’s regular season and get ready for the NBA Playoffs

More from Sir Charles In Charge

After a season that had it all — great finishes, historic performances (both individual and team) and unfortunate disappointments — it’s time to put it all to rest.

(Gosh, this feels awfully like the last day of school)

The NBA’s regular season portion that is.

After each team completes 82 games, which will happen by the end of the day Wednesday, the focus officially transitions to the NBA playoffs. Where, for 16 teams, the real season begins.

Most, all except two to be exact, of the NBA playoff spots are locked and matchups will be set in the coming days. The playoffs officially begin Saturday, where the quest for an NBA Championship will begin for players like Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Marc Gasol and Al Horford, who will be searching for their first.

While others — like Tim Duncan, LeBron James and Dirk Nowitzki — will be looking to add to their shelves.

Bottom line is, we’re about to enter the portion of the season where legacies are made. During the NBA regular season, names are heard. But there are few that would refute that the playoffs are the place where legends are made.

Before we get there, though, let’s finish up the NBA’s regular season off right. Here are the final NBA power rankings of the regular season.

(Note: we will be having playoff power rankings beginning next Monday)
