NBA Power Rankings: The Warriors Road To 72 Begins With A Roaring Start

In our latest edition of NBA Power Rankings, we take a closer look at the first week of the regular season, including the Golden State Warriors

Week one of the NBA is officially in the books.

From witnessing the Golden State Warriors get their championship rings, to LeBron James proving that the Eastern Conference is still his to roam, we’ve learned quite a bit now that we’ve actually played some meaningful basketball.

A few initial thoughts:

• The Detroit Pistons, at 3-0, look for real. I know that’s crazy to say right now, after one week, but they look good.
• The Lakers are a mess.
• Karl-Anthony Towns is going to make many guys look silly on a number of nights this season.
• The Golden State Warriors might win 70 games. Or 73. They look that good right now.
• Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook on the same team is not fair.
