With the 2015-16 NBA season a month old, here are eight things that I wish would happen but probably won’t ever come to fruition

We’re a little more than a month into the season and we’ve learned quite a bit from the NBA so far. For one, there has been a shift of power in the conferences. The West is no longer the big brother of the lesser East. In fact, the argument could be made that the Eastern conference, from top to bottom, has been much better this season.

In addition, it looks like it’s going to be a three-team race, if that, for the NBA Championship between the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs and Cleveland Cavaliers. The Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers continue to be in some kind of postseason hangover, while there’s no one team in the East (currently) that appears poised to knock off LeBron James and the Cavs.

Not yet.

Still, there’s still three-fourths of the season that is yet to be played – plenty of basketball, and time, for situations to change. Here are eight changes that I wish would happen at some point this season, but probably won’t come to fruition.
