In our latest edition of NBA Power Rankings, we look forward to the second-round playoff tests that await the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs

Thanks to a top heavy Western Conference, for the most part, we’re just waiting for the second round of the NBA Playoffs to begin. It’s been that way for much of the first week of the playoffs, too.

And that’s where the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs will receive their first true tests of the playoffs.

Sure, James Harden and the Rockets were a nice warmup, but their first trying time of a record-breaking season will come against Doc Rivers, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin. Similarly, the Spurs, who broke some records themselves this season, will face the tall task of combating the immensely talented Oklahoma City Thunder, led by Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, with experience in the second round.

Both are expected to pass their respective second-round tests with flying colors, but anything can happen in the NBA Playoffs.

In the meantime, here are this week’s NBA Power Rankings.
