The Golden State Warriors thrashed the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals; here are the three biggest takeaways

The MVP took the Game 1 loss personally and as Stephen Curry took an awkward leap into the stands in Game 2, it which somehow sparked a streak of scorching hot shooting from the two-time MVP.

Although Curry finished with 28 points and 5 threes, he was not the only superstar called upon in Game 2.

The Thunder tandem of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook combined for 45 out of the team’s 91 points, and they were the only two Thunder players that scored in double-digits. The Warriors had seven players in double figures, which should be a concern for the Thunder.

Besides any stat an analyst can find, the fact of the matter is that Curry willed them to win. Curry scored 15 points during a two minute span in the third quarter. A third quarter that sealed the deal for this crucial Game 2 by increasing the Warriors lead up to 20.

Headed into the fourth, the Warriors could somewhat relax, but each player on both teams knew that this series was not even close to over. Game 3 will be Sunday in Oklahoma City.

  • Russell Westbrook- 16 points and 12 assists
