NBA Rumors: With the belief that Ray Allen is serious about playing in the NBA this season, we look at his five best landing spots

Ray Allen hasn’t played a meaningful minute of basketball since the 2013-14 season, which ended with a disastrous effort from the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals against the San Antoni Spurs. You know, that’s the summer in which LeBron James elected to return to Cleveland.

That move alone signaled the end of an era for the Heat. It also made way for Allen’s semi-retirement. Although he never did officially announce that he was retired, the evidence was clear. Having not played for two full seasons, I don’t think anyone expected Allen to ever play in the NBA again.

But here we are.

In the words of Allen, if he does end up returning to the NBA it’s going to be in a place where he could see minutes and help mentor some of the young talent. Interestingly enough, Allen isn’t just going to come back to chase more rings.

With all that in mind, we explore the five best landing spots for Ray Allen. Assuming he’s honestly serious about returning to the NBA, of course.
