As one of the most important positions in the NBA today, we ranked the top 10 shooting guards in the league entering the 2016-17 season

There’s no question that the NBA is in the midst of an evolution. As we’ve discussed before, the NBA guard is no longer the dribble, dribble, superb one-on-one player that we came to know and love in the 2000’s.

Even though much of the league’s evolution is centered around the big man, there’s definitely been a changing of the guard when it comes to the backcourt players.

Whether it be their ability to shoot the three-point shot at a more efficient rate or having the ability to defend and play multiple positions, there’s no question that the way guards play the game has changed.

As we continue our NBA Player Rankings series, we put together a list of the top 10 shooting guards in the NBA entering the 2016-17 season.
