How can we solve some team’s problems this NBA Trade Deadline? I proposed a few realistic and unrealistic trades, so let’s take a look at them

Note: None of these exact trades have been rumored or confirmed, this is all just pure speculation.

Also if you find one unrealistic or lopsided, there is no reason for you to take this serious because there is a reason I am not an NBA GM, yet…

Reminder: The NBA Trade Deadline less than 24 hours away.

Plausible Trades

This wouldn’t be a hypothetical trade article without the Celtics featured somewhere in it. Frankly, though, I find this one pretty fair. The Pacers get really good components in Jae Crowder and James Young as well as a quality player and fantastic contract in Amir Johnson. Lastly, Indiana also gets the beloved 2017 Nets Pick and the Celtics 2018 second rounder.

Granted, the Pacers are giving up a lot, but this trade really lets them just focus on Myles Turner and they can use the potential No. 1 overall pick on a guard like Dennis Smith Jr. to pair with him.

Alright, this is a little less realistic than the one above, but it makes sense. Right now, to be a real threat the Warriors, the Pelicans lack consistent shooting and guard play. The Nets send over quality shooters in Randy Foye and Sean Kilpatrick who are both shooting about 35 percent from three in return for, in my opinion, a lot.

The Nets get two second-round picks to begin rebuilding with, and two real quality future forwards in Terrence Jones and Cheick Diallo. The only reason I don’t have NOLA giving up a first is because Foye is on a one-year deal.

Unrealistic Trades

Another trade that involves Paul George, but this time we make Houston title contenders. They acquire Rakeem Christmas and Paul George in return for their 2018 First Rounder, 2018 Second Rounder, Sam Dekker, Patrick Beverley and Trevor Ariza.

This makes sense for the Pacers for a couple reasons. Dekker and Beverley are quality players on solid deals they can either keep for the long haul or flip. Ariza is a player they can flip around immediately to a contender that needs an SF or a shooter, like New Orleans. They also get two picks in the process.

This trade has a negative possibility of happening, but hey, it was fun to put together. The Banana Boat crew gets put together with the exception of Dwyane Wade because he would essentially be useless. The Cavs ship out four players, but get two much better ones in return.

One of the players they send out, Felder, also hardly plays. The Cavs would also send a future first rounder to both NYK and LAC.

I hope you guys took some of this seriously, but some of it as a joke. You need to find the good balance. If this column made you very angry and upset, I am sorry, I guess. Hopefully, an NBA team comes calling after these trades I made.
