NBA Trade Rumors: The Phoenix Suns are pushing to move Brandon Knight, amongst other vets on the roster, but have found little-to-no interest

The Phoenix Suns have a ton of young talent, although it doesn’t appear that they’re ready to part ways with any of it. Unless, of course, they could get in the running for a star – they reportedly refused to get in the bidding for DeMarcus Cousins.

However, the Suns are open to a few smaller deals as the NBA Trade Deadline looms.

According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Suns are willing to move some of the veterans on the roster, including Brandon Knight. The problem, though, is that Phoenix has found little-to-no interest in moving their vets.

"[via ESPN]The Suns continue to shop Brandon Knight and other vets (including Tyson Chandler) but have struggled all week for traction on their guys."

Ideally, the Suns would like to move Knight, who has three years remaining on his contract. He’s due upwards of $15 million per season over the next few years.

The biggest issue with moving Knight is the fact that he’s have arguably the worst year of his career. The 25-year-old guard is averaging 11 points and just 2.4 assists per game this season, both career lows. He’s also only logging 21 minutes per contest this season in Phoenix.

Even though a lot of his lack of production could be in large part to the return of Eric Bledsoe, the fact that Knight is shooting below 40 percent on the year from the field is a good indicator that he’s been pretty bad this season.

At this point, the Suns would take anything to get out from under that contract.

The Suns have also been trying to move P.J. Tucker, who has received interest from the Washington Wizards and Toronto Raptors.
