Five players from Europe who deserve a place in the NBA in the near future

When people think about players from Europe, they usually set their mind on young talents and prospects yet to prove their worth on the basketball courts.

Players like Kristaps Porzingis and Dario Saric impress the crowds with their productivity and continue the tradition of great Europeans like Dirk, the Gasol Bros, Peja Stojakovic and many more. Apart from promising youngsters though, the Euroleague is full of players in their prime that can be efficient contributors to an NBA team if they are given the chance and the right environment to flourish.

This is not a new concept – players like Arvydas Sabonis, Drazen Petrovic, Toni Kukoc, Pero Antic and Juan Carlos Navarro established themselves in European competitions before crossing the Atlantic and becoming stars or capable role players in their teams.

The most recent examples of players having an excellent Euroleague season and then moving to an NBA team are reserve point guards Malcolm Delaney of the Atlanta Hawks and Sergio Rodriguez of the Philadelphia 76ers.

So, let’s check these five players who currently play in Europe who we believe have a good chance of being solid NBA players next year.
